Archie Clarke

Fair haired "Archie", who is the team's well-liked skipper. Has few vsuperiors in the air - ask the players with whom he plays "tennis". Was one of the stalwars of the side last year and has done a great deal to help the club win promotion this term. Has a reputation for preventing centre-forwards from scoring and lives up to it. Is apparently good at making speeches. Has had First Division experience with Everton and on one occasion opposed Tommy Waring, neither having forgotten the time.
